Is Papyrus Paper produced nowadays ? |
| Yes, but only in Egypt. There is only one brand that uses the same ancient Egyptian method for production called the Genuine Papyrus, others are either made of papyrus that is chemically treated in order to shorten the adhesion stage, or from any other less quality material like banana leaves, Samar, maize and other similar plants thus producing a cheap quality imitation of the Genuine Papyrus Paper. | |

How could I differentiate between the Genuine Papyrus & the imitation? |
| There are a lot of differences between
the Genuine Papyrus and the imitation, some of which are : 1- The Genuine Papyrus is very strong paper, you cannot easily cut it, others can be cut easier. 2- You can write on it without blurring. 3- The drawings on Genuine Papyrus is extracted from real drawings of Ancient Egyptians on the walls of templates and tombs, others are just any drawings. 4- No chemicals are used in Genuine Papyrus for adhesion. 5- Genuine Papyrus is thicker than other paper. |
